ADVANCED NAVIGATION CONTROLLER
Integrated adaptive water flow straight-line and hovering technology
The advanced autonomous control system of FAVARA 4 empowers it to seamlessly navigate across different cross-sections, adapting to changing variables such as flow rate and turbulence. This innovative technology ensures that FAVARA 4 maintains a straight trajectory based on the profile view, even in the presence of fluctuating conditions. Moreover, the state-of-the-art hovering capability of FAVARA 4 allows it to achieve remarkable stability amidst turbulent flows, particularly during ADCP observation at the starting and ending points. Consequently, this remarkable feature significantly enhances the precision and accuracy of flow estimation, elevating the overall performance of FAVARA 4.
COMPATIBLE WITH COMMON ADCPS
Versatile. Carries up to 35 kg of payload
The ingenious design of the FAVARA 4 central access shaft offers an unparalleled unmanned solution for cross-sectional flow measurement, catering to the diverse needs of hydrologists utilizing top-notch ADCP sensors available in the market. Specifically tailored for hydrologists employing ADCP sensors like the M9, RTDP 1200, RiverPro, and RiverRay, the FAVARA 4 presents an integrated, portable, and cost-effective option.
BUILT-IN SINGLE BEAM ECHO SOUNDER
Expand your unmanned survey capability
The utilization of single beam sounding data serves multiple purposes, including the validation of ADCP bottom tracking data accuracy. Additionally, this data can be directly integrated into the ADCP flow measurement software, compensating for instances when ADCP data is unavailable. Simultaneously, it offers crucial water depth profile information that corresponds to the measurement of flow velocity profiles. By incorporating single beam sounding data, researchers and hydrologists can enhance the reliability and precision of their measurements, ensuring comprehensive insights into both flow velocity and water depth profiles.
SMART POSITIONING AND NAVIGATION
Uninterrupted positioning with GNSS+IMU
FAVARA 4 delivers unwavering stability to the ADCP and autopilot by providing a reliable position and heading. Equipped with an IMU sensor, it ensures the continuous availability of position data, even in scenarios where GNSS signal is momentarily lost. To ensure safe operations in challenging environmental conditions or situations with limited visibility, the FAVARA 4 is equipped with an obstacle avoidance radar system and a live video feed. This comprehensive set of features enables the FAVARA 4 to operate autonomously from the shore, eliminating the need for direct intervention. Facilitating seamless mission planning, the AutoPlanner and HydroSurvey software suite empowers operators to define the entire survey mission, from specifying the survey area to exporting the final results. This integrated software suite streamlines the workflow, enhancing efficiency and enabling accurate and comprehensive data collection and analysis.
OVERVIEW
The FAVARA 4 USV represents a cutting-edge Unmanned Surface Vessel specifically designed to
cater to the diverse needs of hydrologists conducting water flow velocity and discharge
measurements. It offers seamless compatibility with a wide range of Acoustic Doppler Current
Profiler (ADCP) systems available in the market. Boasting a shallow draft, exceptional
navigational accuracy, and stable hovering capabilities, the FAVARA 4 enables hydrologists to
obtain precise measurements in current sections. Its compact size facilitates easy handling at
the mission site, ensuring hassle-free launching and convenient transportation by car.
Engineered to integrate high-precision positioning and automated navigation control technology,
the FAVARA 4 USV aligns seamlessly with hydrologists' established practices during ADCP
hydrographic cross-section flow measurements. The advanced adaptive water flow and hovering
